Our Mission
The mission of HipCompass Escapes is to introduce the world to amazing travel bloggers, and help bloggers take their passion from hobby to career. How do we do that?
*We do something that rarely exists anymore in travel writing…..we pay!
*Every story ends in a link to the authors blog, in addition to a profile of the author on the contributors page in the magazine.

Things to consider:
*All writers must be active bloggers, and have their own blog (a profile on Examiner or Huffington Post does not count as a blog, you must have your own blog or be a founding member of a blog)
*Pitches should be geared to an appropriate section of the Magazine
*Please specify whether or not you can provide original high-resolution photography to go with your story
*We discourage the submission of unsolicited manuscripts for feature articles, please send a summary instead
*We do buy all rights to stories
*We do not accept previously published work
*“I am going to China and can write a story about it” is not a pitch, please specify your angle and what would set your story apart from other stories on the same destination
*If you have never written for us before, do not pitch a feature. We only accept features from writers we have worked with before.
